On the PBR & SO66, the changes are going to be largely cosmetic since we are anticipating no changes in weighting or funding calculations this year. So many of the changes are designed to make it more user friendly such as exporting and printing reports.

One new feature will be the ability to drill down in many of the tables like the Headcount Table.  You will be able to click on the number that has a link in the table and see what students from KIDS were used to calculate that number.

Just like this past year, the report will be refreshed every 15 minutes to incorporate any new KIDS records that were uploaded. However the calculations appearing on screen will be calculated at the time the page is loaded. This means that if data is not correct, re-loading the page may be necessary so you are working with the most recent data calculations.

Any schedule information, such as schedules, grades and other building information, will be entered in the directory application not in the PBR/SO66. This change will allow schools and districts to update that information during the year and not just on the PBR/SO66. You will still find supporting resources on the Fiscal Auditing page. We recommend using the KIDS PBR and SO66 Reports extensively before submitting.

Remember how KIDS and the reports are connected. Submitting the PBR will close ENRL records for your KIDS staff.  If you have questions about the reports or calculations, you may call school finance and plan to submit the report no later than October 11, 2010.
